A new springtime event in Downtown Branson is making its debut.
The City of Branson is teaming up with Explore Branson for this first time Spring Fling event.
According to several releases and interviews, the event is deigned to be an annual event to bookend with the Fall Festival which debut last year.
The event is Friday and Saturday and will feature live entertainment and historic reenactments as well as other family-friendly activities. In addition, several downtown businesses will be offering specials in conjunction with the event.
While the Spring Fling is planned to be an annual event, this first edition will also tie in the area's celebration of American's 250th Anniversary.

Live entertainment, including strolling musicians and performers
Historical reenactments, including Abraham Lincoln, Betsy Ross, Patrick Henry, Donald Trump, Uncle Sam, and more
Family-friendly activities like face painting and balloon artists
Festive décor throughout downtown:
Balloon arches
Pinwheels in flower beds
Red, white, and blue seasonal displays
Interactive selfie stations and photo opportunities
Participation from local businesses with displays and special offers
