Branson Mayor Larry Milton and members of the Board of Aldermen make comments remembering Dan Lennon this week.
During the public comment segment of this week’s board meeting, former Alderman Bill Skains highlighted Lennon's contributions to the tourism industry. Later, Skains emotionally read a message he received through Facebook from his brother Bill Lennon.
Aldermen Clay Cooper and Marshall Howden both echo Skains comments as did Mayor Milton, who talked about working with Lennon on several committees over the years and asked for a moment of silence.
On Wednesday, the city released a statement from Milton emphasizing the impact he and the whole family had on the Branson entertainment scene and Lennon’s contributions to both the Branson Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce and to the Missouri Division of Tourism.
Lennon passed away Sunday in Columbia at the age of 72. Funeral arrangements are pending.
