The Boone County Airport will host an event involving several aspects of flying in June.
Airport Director Judy McCutcheon gave some of the details of the event during a recent interview on KHOZ's "Around the Table" program. One of the highlights of the June 2nd event will be the appearance of the C-47 Military Transport Plane that is touring the country. McCutcheon said rides on the plane are being sold for $250 per person while attendees can tour the plane for free during the event. While the Air Fair is a one-day event, the C-47 will be staying in Harrison through Wednesday the 3rd and will be available for rides that day.
Other events for the fair include demonstrations by Central Arkansas Rocketry plus equipment displays from local law enforcement and first responders. Representatives will also be on hand from Ozark Tech and University of Arkansas Pulaski Tech to discuss programs for potential students.
The complete interview with Judy McCutcheon, which includes update on construction at the airport, can be seen on the "Around the Table" Facebook Page.
