Burn Ban areas in Arkansas continue to grow as the region remains dry.
Boone County Judge Robert Hathaway releases a statement on Friday that burning is prohibited in the county. Hathaway says in the statement that after consulting with the county's Fire Coordinator, Office of Emergency Management, and the Arkansas Forestry Commission, he felt the burn ban was needed and that outside burning is prohibited until further notice.
Earlier, both Carroll and Madison Counties also issued burn bans. The Arkansas Forestry Division reports all the Arkansas Lakes Region Counties are at a Moderate Fire Risk level.
