The Carroll County Sheriff's Office releases a report on a drowning that occurred near Beaver in Table Rock Lake.
According to the report, Carroll County Dispatch received a call around 5:30 Sunday afternoon about a possible drowning near the campground. When officers arrived on the scene, they were informed that 30-year-old Marvin Stephens of Seligman was going to swim to the old train bridge but did not return.
The Mennonite Search and Rescue team, Benton County Dive Team, OEM and Holiday Island Fire Department were then dispatched to the scene where shortly after arrival, the Mennonite team were able to locate the victim with their underwater sonar equipment.
The sheriff department thanked all who responded to assist in the search as part of their report on their department's Facebook Page.
