A woman wanted for Attempted Murder in Polk County is located and arrested in Stone County.
According to a post from the Stone County Sheriff's Office, an alert from Polk County authorities indicated that 39-year-old Leona Johnston could be in the Cape Fair Curves or Edgewater area in Stone County. The alert indicated she was a suspect in an attempted murder incident.
An update from Stone County Authorities indicate that Johnston was located and taken into custody.
According to Polk County Inmate information, Johnston is now in the Polk County Jail on 1st Degree Domestic Assault and Armed Criminal Action charges.
