Arkansas Officials Warn of New Scam

The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration is warning residents about a new scam text circulating across the state that falsely claims to be from the department.

The message suggests the department is attempting to deposit a refund into the recipient’s bank account, a claim officials say is fraudulent. The release posted by KTLO states that the department will never text individuals seeking bank account information.

Arkansans are urged not to click on links or share personal information in response to unsolicited messages.
