Mountain Home in Arkansas and Buffalo in Missouri are among the cities that had their Fireworks Shows impacted by a company that failed to show up for their scheduled Independence Celebrations.

Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin's office tells several media outlets that his office is launching an investigation into AM Pyrotechnics based in Buffalo for several of the shows that were cancelled in Arkansas.

AM Pyrotechnics based in Buffalo had produced fireworks shows for years, including over 20 years for Mountain Home. The according to past reports, the company suffered an accident at the facility last year that killed one person and also filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection earlier this year due to the impact the accident had on their business.

AM Pyrotechnics owner Aaron Mayfield says in a statement posted by Ozarks First that the company tried to complete as many shows as possible and understands the frustration of those that shows had to be canceled. Mayfield added the late notification for displays were an attempt to try and fulfill those commitments but ultimately were not able to work those celebrations.

Communications Director Jeff LeMaster shared in a statement posted by Ozarks First that the investigation is ongoing.

More details on the story can be found on both the Ozarks First Website and the KTLO Website.
