Area Schools Ranked by U.S. News and World Report

U.S. News and World Report has issued rankings of school districts in each state. 

The magazine uses six categories to determine its rankings for each state and its national rankings. College readiness is the biggest part of the formula at 30% while 20% of the formula factors in state assessment proficiency and state assessment performance. college curriculum factors,  underserved student performance and graduation rates also are port of the formula.

Valley Springs was the highest rated area school in Arkansas coming in at Number Nine while Branson has the highest ranking in the Lakes Region of Missouri Schools at 51 with nearby Nixa having the highest southwest Missouri Ranking coming in at Number 19.

Other Arkansas rankings include Alpena 28, Harrison 44, and Yellville-Summit 50 with Bergman, Eureka Springs, and Flippin also in the top 100. Berryville, Omaha, Marshall, Green Forest, Jasper, Lead Hill, Huntsville, Kingston, Mount Judea, and Western Grove were among other area schools also mentioned in the rankings.

In Missouri, Ozark was also in the top 50 coming in at 46. Besides Branson, also in the top 100 for Lakes Area Schools was Blue Eye, which was ranked 89. 

Other Lakes Area Schools mentioned in the rankings from Missouri include Hollister, Monett, Forsyth, Cassville, Spokane, Gainesville, Bradleyville, Crane, Galena, and Reeds Spring.
