One of the events taking place during the Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism event is the announcement of annual award winners.
The Excellence in Arkansas Tourism Award Winners will be announced on the final day of the conference in Fayetteville on Tuesday.
Area organizations nominated for awards include two that both help promote northwest and north central Arkansas.
The Ozark Mountain Region Association based in Harrison along with the Northwest Arkansas Tourism Association are up for the Region of the Year Award.
The Greater Searcy County Chamber of Commerce is up for a pair of awards in the Tourism of the Year Category as well as in the Natural State Community Development Award in conjunction with the Witts Springs Community Voices Organization.
Other organizations and individuals will be honored during Tuesday’s ceremony for their role in promoting and developing Arkansas’s Tourism Opportunities.
