Area Angler Legend Glen Andrews to Enter Bass Fishing Hall of Fame

Another person with ties to the Ozarks is being inducted into the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame.

Glen Andrews of Lead Hill will be one of three people going into the hall this September in ceremonies at Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife Museum & Aquarium in Springfield.

According to information posted on the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame Website, Andrews won two World Bass Fishing Championships and two second-place finishes in the tournaments first years of existence plus claimed several Missouri and Arkansas State Championships. He was instrumental in developing tournament rules that are still used in fishing tournaments today and helped another fishing pioneer, Ray Scott, start the All-American Tournament on Beaver Lake in the late 60's. Edwards also had a fishing guide business for years on Bull Shoals Lake while also developing fishing lures. 

Bruce Holt and Mike Iaconelli will be also be honored during this year's Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies.
