Area Agencies to Benefit from State Grants

Several Lakes Area Law Enforcement Agencies along with Fire Departments and EMS will benefit from grants approved by Missouri Governor Mike Parson

The announcement last week recapped the 428 grants that were awarded totaling over $6.3 million to aid agencies in financing new equipment and supplies as well as aiding in hiring and training personnel. 

Law Enforcement Agencies receiving grants in the Lakes Region include the Branson and Branson West Police Departments as well as police departments in Cassville, Forsyth, Kimberling City, Merriam Woods, and Seligman. The Stone and Taney County Sheriff's Offices also received grant awards.

The area fire agencies getting grants include the departments in the cities of Branson and Forsyth as well as the Central Crossing, Central Taney, Southern Stone, North Stone/Northeast Barry, and the Western Taney County Fire Protection Districts. 

The Western Taney County Fire Protection District is also getting a grant to assist in EMS Services.
