Another Round of Storms Moves Through the Region

Severe Thunderstorms dumped heavy rain, knocked trees down, and caused power outages in the region Wednesday evening. 

According to a report to the National Weather Service, a tree fell on a car while it was being driven near Bakersfield in Ozark County. The driver was not injured according to the report. In the Village of Sundown near Bull Shoals Lake, there are reports of some marina docks that broke lost but no major damage to boats. There are other reports of trees down in the Gainesville and Theodosia areas in Ozark County as well as around Reeds Spring in Stone County and Seligman in Barry County. A wind gust of 76 MPH was reported in Taney County near Walnut Shade.

White River Valley Electric is again reporting power outages to customers in Douglas, Ozark, and Taney Counties in Missouri and Marion County in Arkansas. Entergy is also reporting several outages in their service area especially in the Pyatt and Yellville areas of Marion County. 

The Heavy Rain has also caused some flooding issues in the region. MODOT is reporting Highway 125 between DD and 160 in eastern Taney County is closed due to flooding. Several other roads have water on them in the region. A Flood Advisory is in effect for the region this morning. 

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for this morning with a break from the rain before another round is expected Friday night into Saturday.
