The Lakes Region is beginning to see the spread of dry conditions.
According to the latest map from the U.S. Drought Monitor, nearly the entire Lakes Region is at an Abnormally Dry Level. While that is still the lowest level on the drought monitor, it is covering the most area it has to date this year, Fire Risk increases in area with Abnormally Dry Levels while river and stream levels continue to decrease.
A front has brought some scattered showers to the area but no other rain is in the forecast over the next seven days.
