The Lakes Region will see several ceremonies today to remember the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks that took place 24 years ago.
The College of the Ozarks host its annual “Lest We Forget 9/11 Memorial” at 9:00 am at the Point Lookout Fire Department. The event will include guest speaker Major General Charles D. Hausman, adjutant general of the Missouri National Guard.
Also in the Lakes Region, the annual event “Branson Remembers 9/11” at 6:00 pm at the Branson Landing Fountain Stage. The event will feature speakers, musical tributes, and moments of silence to pay respect to the victims, first responders and everyone impacted by the attacks.
Among other ceremonies in the area include the annual Flag Running Ceremony that will be held at the Central Harrison Fire Department on Industrial Park Drive at 8:45 this morning.
