William “Bill” Henry Lloyd Darnell, Jr, 79

William “Bill” Henry Lloyd Darnell, Jr, 79, peacefully entered into the arms of his Loving Savior on June 27, 2026, at his residence in Harrison, Arkansas. Bill was born to Lloyd Darnell and Barbara Harris Darnell in Harrison, Arkansas on January 16, 1947.

Bill was preceded in death by his true love, Anabella “Bella” Darnell, their son William Darnell III, his parents Lloyd and Barbara Darnell, and his sister Barbara Jean Alford.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Ana Darnell of Diamond City, and his grandchildren Kory and his wife Katie and their son, Bills great grandson, Leon Darnell of Harrison, Zakary Darnell of Diamond City, Will Rapier of Chicago, Illinois, and Naomi Rapier of Denver, Colorado, sister Elaine Santucci of New York, and her children Christy, Cindy, Jackie, Frankie, and Kimmie and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bill was a lifetime member of the Hilltop Church of Christ where he first experienced the love of Christ, and he will be laid to rest next to his wife and son in the Hilltop Cemetery.

Bill and his family lived in many locations, but he loved the mountains of Colorado, loved hunting and camping among the aspens and the pines. He and Bella loved to travel and spent over 10 years traveling in their RV all over the country, meeting new friends and visiting loved ones as often as they could. When his eyesight began to dim, they sold their RV and moved to Diamond City, until the death of his wife. He then moved in with his oldest grandson, Kory, who cared for him until his passing.

Life for Bill and Bella was not always easy, but regardless of what they faced, they always faced it together, united, as husband and wife as well as best friends. Together they raised two children, traveled the United States from the east coast to the west coast, visiting most of the National Parks, State Parks, and places of interest along the way, just enjoying this beautiful land. After their children grew up and had kids, they took their grandkids on these same adventures.

Bill is now at peace, in the loving arms of his Savior, and beside his beloved bride, Bella.
