Virgil Gale Cash, 85 of Branson, MO

Virgil Gale Cash, 85 of Branson, Missouri passed away on August 21, 2021, in his home after battling cancer.

The funeral service will be held at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, 1638 E. Hwy 76, Branson, MO.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. with the funeral service to follow at noon on Tuesday, August 31.  Burial will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood, Springfield, MO at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 31.

Virgil was born in Iron Mountain, MO on June 21, 1936.  He went to Irondale High School and graduated in 1951.  He served in the United States Army for 3 years.  He worked for Western Union for 53 years in various cities in which he held several positions.  Virgil and his wife, Ruth made Branson their retirement home in 2012.  They were members of Skyline Baptist Church and current members of Kings Chapel Branson.  Virgil enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.  He enjoyed conversing with people of all ages and especially enjoyed time spent with the grandkids.

Virgil is survived by his wife, Ruth, his brother Leslie Cash (Cleta) of Farmington, MO, his daughter, Dawn R. Cash, son, Jeffrey G. Cash, bonus sons, Mark D. Solares (Cadence) and Bernardo “Will” Solares (Leticia), eleven grandchildren, Heather Knapp (Cory) and Dayton Taylor; Kelsi King; Alexa, Adrian and Jeremiah Solares and Mia, Haley, Nikki, Kati and Mason Solares and one great-grandchild, Rosa Knapp, along with numerous loving nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Virgil is predeceased by his parents, John R. and Sarah I. (Fortner) Cash, siblings, Betty Spivey, Edward Cash and Velma Perry.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice Compassus.  The support of family and friends who visited and called during Virgil’s illness and hospice care are very much appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Virgil’s memory are requested to Kings Chapel Branson, Local Outreach Ministry, 1839 76 Country Blvd., Branson, MO 65616.
