Vella Jean Brown, age 68, of Branson, Missouri, passed away September 7, 2026. She entered this life on September 15, 1957, the daughter of Irlie and Carmaletta (Shciffman) Moon in Orange County, California. Vella was joined in marriage on December 15, 1995, to Billy Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings: Diane, Donna, and Mike.
Vella will be remembered for her creative spirit, caring heart, and the kindness she so freely shared with others. She found great joy in poetry, arts and crafts, and creating beautiful things with her hands. Her creativity was reflected in the thoughtful and gentle way she approached life with.
Deeply spiritual, Vella carried her faith and beliefs close to her heart and found meaning in caring for those around her. She was a natural caregiver who took great pride in helping others, offering comfort, and making sure the people she loved were cared for with her work as a certified nursing assistant.
Whether she was working on a new craft, drafting a poem, or simply spending time with someone who needed her, Vella gave a little piece of herself to the things and people she cared about. Her creativity, compassion, and nurturing spirit will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Vella is survived by her daughters: Amy Miller, Tina Lewis, and Crystal Fitzgerald; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita and Shelly; brothers: Del, Joe, and Kenneth; as well as many other extended family members.
