Tommie Jo Piazza, loving husband, age 72, of Golden, Missouri

Tommie Jo Piazza, loving husband, age 72, of Golden, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at his home.

            He was born October 2, 1948 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Leonard and Maxine (Tobin) Piazza.  On November 30, 1996 in Shell Knob, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Barbara Dowling, who survives.  Also surviving are one son, Eric Piazza and his wife Tracey of Church Hill, Tennessee; two step-sons, Robert Gibson of Portland, Oregon and William Gibson and his wife Stacey of Wentzville, Missouri; one sister, Penny McNabb of Rockford, Illinois; three grandchildren, Siena, Connor and Logan; three nephews, Dino McNabb, Victor McNabb and Johnny McNabb all of Rockford, Illinois and a lifelong Vietnam bro, Frankie Sutton of Indianapolis, Indiana.

            Preceding him in death were his parents.

            Tommie received his education in Rockford, Illinois.  During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Army.  For several years he resided in various places around the country working in construction as a carpenter and retired from the Carpenters Union in 2011.  In 1996 he moved to Golden to make his home.  Some of his favorite pastimes were reading western books and watching westerns on television, being outdoors and was an avid Nascar fan.  He loved his family, was very proud of his son, Eric and his grandchildren brought him lots of joy.

            A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
