Tiasha Lynette Carpenter, 57, of Reeds Spring
Tiasha Lynette Carpenter, 57, of Reeds Spring, Missouri, passed away on May 9th, 2026 surrounded by family and friends. Born on March 24th, 1969, in Wichita, Kansas, Tiasha lived a life defined by resilience, independence, and compassion.
Tiasha was the daughter of the late Wanda Faye Richardson and Rondald Lynn Carpenter: She was also predeceased by her stepmother Lois Carpenter and her grandparents Alice Rinkenburg-Carpenter and Ken Carpenter. She is survived by her siblings: brother Steve Carpenter and his wife Teresa; sister Tammy Mathes and her husband Mark; brother Ron Jaso; sister Tina Burgess and her husband Gary; and sister Tona Richardson. Tiasha also leaves behind many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish her memory.
Known for her strong will and vibrant personality, Tiasha was lovingly described as beautiful, sassy, and stubborn. Her determination was evident throughout her life. After a car accident many years ago left her unable to walk, she faced numerous challenges with courage and tenacity. Despite frequent encounters with doctors and hospitals, she refused to let these obstacles define her. Tiasha worked as long as she could at Walmart, where her warmth and advocacy for others left a lasting impression.
Tiasha had a deep love for animals that shaped much of her life. She was a steadfast supporter of local animal shelters and rescues, living by the motto 'Adopt Don't Shop'. Her loyal dog Gertie was always by her side-a constant companion who now mourns her absence alongside all who knew Tiasha.
Her advocacy extended beyond animals to people from all walks of life. Tiasha believed in inclusion and made it a priority to ensure everyone felt valued. Her experiences taught her the importance of self-advocacy, which she used not only for herself but also to help others navigate their own life challenges.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tiasha's honor to your local animal shelter-a fitting tribute to someone who dedicated so much of herself to the care and well-being of animals.
Tiasha's strength, independence, and unwavering compassion will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory serve as an inspiration to live boldly and care deeply for others.
