Shannon Dwayne Bruton, age 56, of Cassville, Missouri,
Shannon Dwayne Bruton, age 56, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at his home.
He was born on September 19, 1969, in Monett, Missouri, to Joe Bruton and Donna Faye (Isley) McCloud. Shannon grew up in Cassville and graduated from Cassville High School in 1987. In 1988, he was united in marriage to Lisa LaDawn James in Cassville, Missouri. She preceded him in death on January 9, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his father, Joe Bruton.
Throughout his career, Shannon worked as a machinist for several manufacturing companies in the area. He took pride in his work and was known for his mechanical abilities. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool, working on vehicles, and riding four-wheelers, dirt bikes, and dune buggies. He especially loved spending time outdoors, whether camping, fishing, or simply enjoying nature. Shannon attended Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville.
Shannon is survived by his mother, Donna Faye McCloud of Cassville, Missouri; his life partner, Christine Tucker of Cassville, Missouri; his sons, Kylan Bruton of Purdy, Missouri, and Lucas James and his wife, Rachel, of Exeter, Missouri; his daughter, Katelyn Adams of Purdy, Missouri; his sisters, Shawna Ellison of Exeter, Missouri, and Jami Curry Bruton of Eagle Rock, Missouri; and his eight beloved grandchildren, Blake, Billy, Faith, Breanna, Frank, Jesse, Ke'Alani, and Clyde. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
A celebration of Shannon's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri.
