Ronald Dean Wills, age 78, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away August 22, 2026. He entered this life November 28, 1947, the son of Warren and Imagene (Brown) Wills in Lebanon, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents: Edward (Nettie) Brown, and Roy (Bowlah) Wills; and sister-in-law, Frances Rittenhouse.
He is survived by his wife, Freida Wills; sister, Vicki Savage and her husband, John Savage; daughter, Christina Wills and her husband, Mike Nichells; and nieces: Rhonda (Terry) Snowden, and Kelly (Lewis) Ecker.
Ronald found joy in the peaceful rhythms of the outdoors and took great comfort in the world around him. He loved bird watching and could spend time observing the beauty and movement of nature with patience and appreciation. Hunting and fishing were among the pastimes he enjoyed, and these activities gave him both relaxation and a deep connection to the land and waters he valued. He also took great pride in working on his farm, where his strong work ethic and practical nature were evident in all that he did.
Those who knew Ronald understood that his love for animals was a meaningful part of who he was. He loved his dogs and cats dearly and treated them as beloved companions. His gentle nature and generous heart were reflected in the care he gave them, and they brought him comfort and companionship throughout his life. Ronald had a special way of making both people and animals feel safe and valued, and that kindness was one of the many qualities that made him so memorable. Above all, Ronald Wills was a very good husband. He gave his love faithfully and stood beside his wife with devotion, respect, and tenderness.
His marriage was a source of pride and joy, and the bond he shared with his wife was built on trust, companionship, and enduring affection. He understood the importance of commitment and carried that understanding into the way he lived each day. His presence brought reassurance and love, and his absence will be deeply felt.
A celebration of life will be held on September 19, 2026, 2:00 PM at Cremations of the Ozarks in Hollister, Missouri.
