Rita Christine Box was born Sunday, December 25, 1949 in Turlock California to Clifford and Iona (Paul) Case and the Lord took her home on Friday, September 10 2021  Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO, with her family by her side. There will be a graveside service on Friday, September 17, 2021 in Garrison Cemetery, Garrison MO. at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Butch McCleary officiating.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Iona (Paul) Case, and one brother, Eddie Case.

She married Bill Box on December 5, 1969 and had one child Angela (Box) Shockey, married to Jeffrey L Shockey. Bill and Rita have been together since she was fifteen years old and him fourteen years old. They have been married for 51 years. Angela and Jeff blessed them with three step-grandchildren, Zachary, Autumn, and Brooke Shockey and two biological grandchildren, Jeffrey and Joshua Shockey. She loved to spoil her grandchildren from cookies to their favorite foods.

She was a homemaker. She loved to crochet afghans and doll dresses till her eyes wouldn't let her. She also loved to read on her kindle and watch her westerns. Of course she loved to give her husband a hard time for the fun of it, and him her. When you are both home and retired this is a must for entertainment.
