Richard “Dick” Wayne Dugal, age 79, of Branson, Missouri.

Richard “Dick” Wayne Dugal, age 79, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on March 28, 2022, with his wife by his side. He entered this life on January 18, 1943, in St. Francois County, Missouri, the son of Leo and Velma (Chalk) Dugal. He was joined in marriage on May 30, 1964, to Dorothy Cecilia Rickard.

Dick was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Debra; his parents; brother Bill Dugal; sister Connie Caringer; and several aunts and uncles.

Growing up in Farmington, Missouri, Dick began working for his father at an early age at Dugal’s Big Star Supermarket. Eventually, he was able to continue his father’s legacy as co-owner and operator. Dick was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he helped with the parish picnic every year and the monthly breakfast on Sundays.  He was well-liked and a compassionate member of the Farmington community, and served as Alderman for the city of Farmington.  In his early years Dick had his pilot’s license, sang and played keyboard in his band, enjoyed racing sprint and stock cars, and racehorse ownership. After moving with his wife, Dottie, to the Branson area in 1991, they joined Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He was a phenomenal cook and wise businessman, utilizing those skills as owner of Flat Creek Restaurant and Landmark Inn. He also enjoyed meeting up with his ROMEO group for lunch every Friday.  As a loving husband, father, and grandfather, we will forever treasure the moments, memories, and legacy that Dick created for his family.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Dottie Dugal of Branson, Missouri; daughter, Dana Dugal Corcoran of Farmington, Missouri; son, Doug (Rebekah) Dugal of Nixa, Missouri; daughter, Darla (Collin) Cossette of Lititz, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Hunter Corcoran, Tanner Corcoran,

Caroline Dugal, Andrew Hazelrigg, McKenzie Cossette, Brady Cossette; brother: Ron (Shirley) Dugal; sisters: Carole Short, Sandy (Kenny) Stoll, and Janice (Dave) Spane; and several nieces and nephews.

Per Dick's request, no formal services at this time.  A celebration of his life will occur in the near future.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in his honor.  Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
