Randy Dale

My wonderful Father, Randy passed away yesterday afternoon on Wednesday, May 11th in an automobile accident, while on his medical courier route. The state trooper and coroner said they believed it was a medical reason that led to the crash.

We came to Springfield Monday to spend the week with him and my mother before the one-year anniversary of my brother Jared’s death, May 15th. Tuesday, we got to spend the day with him. It was a really great day. He went all out on an early birthday party for Addie. Which was so special, and I think he enjoyed it just as much as Addie did.  He got to play with Lizzie Drew and Addie most of the day.  He had dinner with us and was here for bath time before bed. Dad got a kick out of Lizzies new favorite thing to do raspberries. It was a gift to be here and spend his last days with our girls.

If you knew my dad, he was a character and always tried to make things fun for everyone.    Dad would try to help people however he could. He loved his kids and adored his grand-girls. He pretended to be Fred Flintstone and would do the “Yabba-dabba-do” to the delight of all. We are all shocked and had planned for a very different week with G-Pops and Grandma D.  Dad and Mom would have been married for 40 years this fall and had started planning a trip to Ireland.

Randy is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Briggs; brother, Rick Briggs; son Jared Andrew Dale; and stepfather, Wayne Briggs. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kay Dale; daughter, Sarah, and husband Joshua May of North Georgia; and two granddaughters: Addie Grace and Lizzie Drew; and father, Bob Dale.

A grave side service is set for 10:30 am Saturday, May 14th at New Eminence Cemetery with a lunch fellowship at noon at West Eminence Christian Church. 17769 State Hwy 106, Eminence, MO 65466. All are welcome. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
