Ralph Edgar Lamberson, age 86, of Purdy, Missouri

Ralph Edgar Lamberson, age 86, of Purdy, Missouri passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 at Mercy Hospital Carthage in Carthage, Missouri.

            He was born September 17, 1936 in Rocky Comfort, Missouri the son of Olga and Naomi (Balmas) Lamberson. In 1956 in Monett, Missouri he was united in marriage to Nancy Carolyn East. On June 17, 2005 in Wheaton, Missouri he was united in marriage to Betty Lavelle Higgs, who preceded him in death on May 6, 2020. Also preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife and one sister, Donna Watkins.

            Surviving are his special friend, Sharon Kay Lombard of Wheaton, Missouri; one daughter, Teresa Marie Lamberson-Hopper of Wheaton, Missouri and one grandchild, Tyler Hopper of Norman, Oklahoma.

            Ralph grew up and received his education in Wheaton, Missouri graduating from Wheaton High School in 1954, later attending the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was employed by Time Life Insurance as a regional sales manager from where he retired. Ralph didn’t like being idle, he was a doer, which led to him being involved in the Wheaton Historical Society and Depot Museum. He also enjoyed cooking, woodworking, traveling, working in the garden and tending his flowers. Ralph was a great dad and grandfather. He was loved dearly by his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

            Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Waldensian Presbyterian Cemetery in Monett, Missouri, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Greg Snow will conduct the services.

            Contributions may be made to Wheaton Historical Society and Depot Museum in memory of Ralph.
