  Phyllis Loraine Howe, age 89, of Exeter, Missouri

            Phyllis Loraine Howe, age 89, of Exeter, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation in Cassville, Missouri.

            She was born February 4, 1934 in Exeter, Missouri the daughter of Guy and Hazel (Cole) Hooten. On November 10, 1950 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Freddie L. Howe, who preceded her in death on June 26, 1989. Also preceding her in death were her parents.

            Surviving are two sons, Allen Howe and his wife Jane of Exeter, Missouri and Gary Howe and his wife Carey of Exeter, Missouri; one daughter, Laverna Roller and her husband Danny of Exeter, Missouri; one sister Oleta Catron and her husband Robert of Conroe, Texas; eight grandchildren, Bob Roller and his wife Christel, Brad Roller and his wife Jatha, Tammy Wilson and her husband Justin, Toby Howe and his wife Jessica, Lindsay Brogan and her husband Scott, Cody Howe and his wife Kali, Quentin Howe and his wife Nichole and Lindsey Joeckel and her husband Curtis and seventeen great-grandchildren.

            Phyllis grew up and attended school in Exeter, Missouri graduating from Exeter High School. She worked at Jumping Jacks Shoes until it closed and was then employed by Justin Boot where she worked for twenty-six years from where she retired. Phyllis helped at Crystal’s Daycare and was very well known for taking banana bread to the local nursing homes. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, visiting with her friends at White Oak and going to church, which she never missed and always wanted to go.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Exeter since 1948.

            Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Exeter, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jerry Yarnall will conduct the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri.

            The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

            Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Exeter in memory of Phyllis.
