Penelope Edwina “Penny” Brown, age 68, of Exeter
Penelope Edwina “Penny” Brown, age 68, of Exeter, Missouri passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 at Mercy Hospital Springfield in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born August 28, 1957 in Green County, Missouri, the daughter of Edwin and Auda (Grisham) Johnson, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her son, Russell Johnson, and brothers, Sam Johnson, Charles Johnson, and Max Johnson.
Surviving are her sons, Stephen Johnson of Exeter, Missouri, Israel Brown of Exeter, Missouri, Emanuel Brown of Diller, Nebraska, and Anthony Brown of Exeter, Missouri; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Penny attended school in Galena, Missouri, and graduated from Galena High School. She was a devoted homemaker and had made her home in Exeter for the past 30 years.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and painting in her spare time. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed the time they spent together. She was of the Baptist faith.
Private services will be held at a later date.
