Norma J. Pierce, age 95.

Norma J. Pierce, age 95, passed away March 19, 2024, at the Rose House in Branson, Missouri. She was born on September 23, 1928, in Garden City, Kansas, to John and Iona Boyd. On November 26, 1944, Norma married Homer S. Pierce, of Garden City, Kansas. Homer passed away on December 28, 2012.

As well as being a housewife and mother, for many years she helped her husband with farming. Norma and her husband liked to travel, including trips to Canada and Europe. She was also an avid fan of Kansas University, Kansas State basketball, and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers football team. Most of all, Norma loved her family and kept track of each and everyone and what was taking place in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Pierce; parents: John and Iona Boyd; two brothers; and a grandson.

Norma is survived by her sister, Lois Ramsey of Garden City, Kansas; four children: Nancy Courtney and her husband, John of Springfield, Missouri, Larry Pierce and his wife Shawanna of Hollister, Missouri, Rodney Pierce of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Tim Pierce and his wife Connie of Crescent City, California; six grandchildren: Shane (Mary) Pierce, Christine (Darren) Smith, Tucker (Chandra) Pierce, Dylan (Janet) Pierce, Buck (Lori) Pierce, and Flynt (Jaclyn) Pierce; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
