Morgan Diane Huff, age 41, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away Monday, May 18,
2026.
She was born September 17, 1984 in Landstuhl, Germany, the daughter of Michael S.
Poe and Wendy (Barrett) Poe. On June 12, 2010 in Independence, Missouri she was united in
marriage to Charles Huff, III, who survives. Also surviving are her parents, Wendy Barrett Leslie
and husband Randall; son, Dylan Huff of the home; daughters, Lily Huff and Kaylyn Huff of the
home; brothers, Kevin Marler and wife Jacinda of Independence, Missouri and Nick Leslie and
wife Maddie of Independence, Missouri; sister, Lauren Warkentien and husband Scott of
Independence, Missouri; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chuck and Cindy Huff of Raymore,
Missouri and her beloved dogs, Tobie and Pete.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Maureen Claxton, Norma Poe and Waif
and Betty Robinson.
Morgan attended school in Independence, Missouri, and graduated from Truman High
School. She later attended Western Governors University, where she earned her Bachelor of
Science in Nursing degree. Morgan proudly served her country in the United States Army during
Operation Iraqi Freedom, spending much of her service stationed at Fort Irwin Army Base in
California.
Morgan worked as a Registered Nurse for the North Kansas City School District. She
especially loved Christmas and Halloween, enjoyed watching scary movies, and treasured
weekends spent at the Lake of the Ozarks making memories with her children and family. She
was of the Christian faith.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. with a celebration
of life to follow until 8:00 P.M. at the Abundant Life Administration Building, 410 SW Persels
Road in Lee's Summit, Missouri 64081.
