Lynn Baty

Lynn Baty will be remembered as a hardworking man, a long-time, devoted member of the community, and someone who found joy in being with his family and the simple pleasures of life.

Born Clifford Lynn Baty on November 28, 1939 in Seymour, Missouri, he was the son of Henry Clifford Baty and Alpha (Byrd) Baty. He attended school in Seymour and Branson.  On November 29, 1959, he married his sweetheart, Loretta Richards on the School of the Ozarks campus with M. Graham Clark officiating. He loved NASCAR, country music, fishing, hunting, and camping, and he especially enjoyed time spent outdoors.

Lynn was a dedicated and skilled general contractor who built his own business through craftsmanship and a strong work ethic. One of his proudest accomplishments was building the first home in the Branson North subdivision.

Beyond his work, Lynn gave his time and energy to the community. He was part of the Branson-Hollister Jaycees and served on the Hollister School Board.

Lynn passed away at his home in Hollister on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Baty; his children, Gary Baty (Suzan) of Hollister and Elizabeth Ann Holland (Michael) of Puckett, MS; his sister, Barbara Mead of Hollister; grandchildren, Alesia Hendon and Ryan Holland; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Hendon, Gracie Hendon, Bo Hendon, Daniel Hendon, Ervan Holland, Liam Holland, Lola Holland and Riley Holland along with his extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Alpha Baty; brother, Bob Baty; and sister, Shirley Ross.

A time of visitation will be Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson .  Burial will be in Pine Top Cemetery, Hollister on August 1, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
