Linda Suzanne Smith, 73, of Hollister, Missouri.

Linda Suzanne Smith, 73, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away September 8, 2022. Born December 15, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a graduate of Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa. She was the daughter of Bobby Lee Smith and Bertie Lou Smith. Linda was preceded in death by her parents. 

Linda worked as an in-home caregiver for many years, worked in the mental health field with the disabled and then finally after moving to Branson worked in the entertainment industry where she received #1 salesperson of the year at her job. Linda loved talking to people and this is what made her a success in the entertainment industry. 

Linda loved working outdoors with her flowers and plants, home decorating, and had a passion of animals. She would help foster animals from the local animal shelter. If you wanted to get Linda worked up in a conversation, you could talk politics. Linda was a loving and caring individual, friend, and mother. She had been a foster parent and had been raising her two grandchildren: Jayden and Kara Knight for the last ten years. Linda and the children had been attending Grace Community Assembly in Branson, Missouri. 

Linda is survived by her children: two sons, Mark and Jason Anderson of Cushing, Oklahoma; daughter, Kristen Anderson Knight-Witte of Springfield, Missouri; son-in-law, Ronald “Ronnie” Witte of Clever, Missouri; four grandchildren: Kara, Jayden, Kendall, and Devin; brother, Gary (LuAnn) Smith of Oklahoma; cousin/sister, Debbie Matheson-Ellis of Tulsa, Oklahoma; long time friend and companions, Robert and Audrey Anderson of Hollister, Missouri; as well as some other grandchildren, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

A memorial service honoring Linda will be held at Grace Community Assembly, 3101 Gretna Road in Branson, Missouri at 6:00 p.m. Sunday September 18, 2022. Her final resting place will be at the Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s name to Taney County Animal Shelter, Rescue One, or another local animal rescue shelter.
