She was a 1960 graduate of Cassville High School. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading, painting and watching game shows.
Levina was a woman whose love, faith, and strength left an imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and unconditional love. Whether it was the smell of something baking, a gentle hug, or a kind word spoken at just the right moment, she had a remarkable way of making people feel safe, seen, and deeply loved. This was best represented in her 25 years as a foster parent, taking in 68 children. She was a devoted Christian whose faith wasn’t something she only spoke about, it was something she lived every single day. She trusted God through life’s greatest joys and its deepest sorrows. Even when she faced hardship, she carried herself with quiet courage, believing that the Lord would continue to guide her every step of the way. Her strength was never loud or boastful. It was found in her perseverance, in her prayers, in the sacrifices she made for those she loved, and in the hope she held onto when life was difficult. She taught us that true strength comes from faith, and that love is one of God’s greatest gifts. Levina was a member of Gunter Methodist Church.
