Lawrence C. Lamoureaux, 79 of Billings, Mo.

Lawrence C. Lamoureaux, 79 of Billings, Mo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at his home. A military graveside service will be at 3:00 P.M. Monday, July 11, 2022 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery Springfield, Mo, 5201 S. Southwood.

Lawrence , also known as “Larry” or “Butch” to many family and friends, was born on Monday, June 28, 1943 in Chicago, Il to Charles and Caroline (Slavicek) Lamoureaux.

Lawrence served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. York County out of Little Creek. Va. He served from 1960-1966 as a Navy Cook. In 1961, Lawrence met the love of his life, Alice Hobbs. They were married on February 6, 1962 in Elizabeth City, NC. This year they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together. Together they had three children,   Lorie, Barbara and Michael. After his military service, the family moved to Illinois and then later to Kirbyville, Mo where he proudly started his own business, Lamour’s Heating, Air and Refrigeration. He served Taney County and surrounding counties for many years till he retired in 2007. After retiring, he and Alice moved to Billings, Mo to enjoy the rest of their lives. Once, moving to the country, he got two horses, River, Valentino and a cat they named Precious which he really enjoyed spending time with them. Lawrence also loved fishing, golfing, bowling, watching football and boxing on T.V. A pastime favorite was going to Remington Park in Oklahoma to watch live horse racing and going to the casino.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Caroline Lamoureaux; one brother, Charles Lamoureaux and wife, Dolores; two sisters, Caroline and Sue.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Alice; daughters, Barbara Lamoureaux and Lorie Lawrence; son, Michael Lamoureaux and wife, Sarah; grandchildren, Calvin Lamoureaux, Ashley Lamoureaux and fiancé, Tyler Horn, Alicia (Patrom) Raschel and husband Carey, Nataasha, Vinson and Tabetha Patrom, Brenda, Timothy and Shay Lawrence; nineteen great-grandchildren; one brother and sister and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lawrence will be missed greatly by all his family and friends.

Cremation is under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home Forsyth, Mo.
