Kathy Renee Reese Traxler
Kathy Renee Reese Traxler was born on April 13, 1957, and passed away at 69 years of age on July 4, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents: M.L. (Bubba) and Billie Faye Reese and her brother-in-law, Eric Marcantel. She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Ray Traxler and their daughters, Amy and Melanie. She leaves behind two sons-in-law, Jeremy Long and Rowdy Clayton; four grandchildren: Zeke, Bella, Rhett, and Cadence; two brothers, Marty and Brian Reese; two sisters, Teri Reese and Jan Marcantel; and six nieces and nephews, all who loved her immensely.
In all areas, Kathy supported those around her and made friends everywhere she went. She worked with all ages of children as an aide, substitute, and tutor as well as her church’s secretary and treasurer. Kathy had a deep love for music and sang in many performances over her life along with playing the piano. She also had a quick mind that loved solving puzzles. Above all else, she loved her family and went to great lengths to provide a welcoming home and help when needed. Kathy died on one of her favorite holidays, which she never failed to decorate for, and her family believes that fireworks could not have been a more fitting goodbye. She will be dearly missed.
