Karen L. Poland, 72, of Branson passed away February 1, 2022

Karen L. Poland, 72, of Branson passed away February 1, 2022.  Karen was born November 17, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas to Edward F. and Ella E. (Masters) Sanders.  She attended school at Rosedale in Kansas City and attended Peoria Community College. 

                Karen enjoyed moving around and working various jobs.  Her skills included working at a factory in Kansas City, caring for kids in a daycare, working retail at Wal-Mart, helping customers at Lowes, and her most rewarding job was raising her five children and three grandchildren.  Her most beloved hobbies included taking care of her family, sewing, and crocheting for those she cared for and needed it. Karen and her husband Gary relocated to Branson from Lebanon and attended church at Harvest Chapel.  They had celebrated 28 years together this past July.

                Karen leaves behind her husband Gary of the home daughters; Tonia and Gerald Baty of Reeds Spring, MO., Cherlyne and Tracy Horne of Lebanon, MO., Carmen and Jared Forbes of Glasgow, MO., Deanna and Donald Glenn of Elmer, LA., Jamie and Patrick Logan of Tulsa, OK.; brother William Eugene Sanders “Gene”; two sisters Dessa Darlene Barbarich “Sis” and Sheri and Richard Schutte. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. 

                Karen is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ella, two grandchildren Abigail Logan and Katelyn Glenn. 

Services will be Saturday February 12, 2022 with visitation beginning at 10:30 A.M. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory in Branson.  Memorials and floral gifts will be graciously accepted by the Poland Family.
