John Jeffrey Zilm, aged 72
John Jeffrey Zilm, aged 72, died on the morning of May 13, 2026. He was born on December 7, 1953 in Galesburg, Illinois to Edwin E. & Betty A. Zilm. Jeff attended Southern Illinois University after graduating Toluca High School. He later finished his education at Southwest Missouri State in December of 1991. On May 15, 2004 he married Rebecca Louise “Becky” Haslag to whom he remained married until her passing on September 21, 2024.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Ed & Betty Zilm, his brother Scott (Pam) Zilm, and his beloved wife Becky.
Surviving is his sister Becky (Mike) Anderson of Branson, six nieces and nephews, one grand-niece and his step-son Randall Hawkins.
Jeff’s creativity and love of people was reflected in his jobs and hobbies over the years. A love of golf was passed down from his father. His work in the service industries also facilitated his love of competitive darts where he made a name for himself in the 1990s. Whether creating a geometric design, juggling some balls, or building a website, Jeff always had the goal of blessing those around him.
A memorial service will be held at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, 1638 E. State Hwy 76 in Branson on May 30, 2026 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the House of Hope, P. O. Box 6534, Branson, MO 65615.
