John. D. Snider, 91, Walnut Shade, MO

Celebration of life services for John. D. Snider, 91, Walnut Shade, will be held Thursday, Sept. 2 at Healing River Worship Center, Walnut Shade, 10 AM.  Pastor Tim Snider and Pastor Sam Kaunley will officiate with burial following at Gobbler’s Knob Cemetery, Hollister.  Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory Branson.

John Dee Snider was born May 13, 1930, Branson, Mo.  He was the son of Troy and Birdie Opal (Combs) Snider.  He was a carpenter who loved to work with wood and build residential homes and commercial buildings.  He married Sarah Fielder on June 6, 1954 in Branson.  They had celebrated sixty-seven years together and were blessed with four children.

He was promoted to Heaven on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021 at Walnut Shade, Mo.   John was a member of the Healing River Worship Center, Walnut Shade. He accepted the Lord as his savior in 1956 at an A. A. Allen tent revival. John enjoyed talking and teaching the Lord’s blessings to his family and any who would listen.

He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, camping and work.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Jerry, Danny, Pauline Compton, Deann Miller and a granddaughter Bethany Snider.

John is survived by the love of his life Sarah of the home; children Michael Snider (Judy) of Clever, Mo.; Timothy Snider (Betty) of Walnut Shade; Steven Snider (Shelley) of Branson; Sandra Jones (Danny) of Forsyth; his sisters Jessie Fausett (Bobby) of Kirbyville, Mo. and Linda Jones of Branson; nine grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Visitation will be held at the church 9 AM Thursday, Healing River Worship Center, Walnut Shade.
