Jerry Wallis Hussong

Jerry Wallis Hussong, age 84, of Branson, Missouri.

Jerry Wallis Hussong, age 84, of Branson, Missouri, passed away in his wife’s loving arms in their home on February 14, 2024.  He was born on February 25, 1939, to his loving parents Clifford and Alice (Mueller) Hussong of Okabena, Minnesota.  Jerry was joined in Holy Matrimony on October 17, 1959, to Jewell Schmidt in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rosttown, Minnesota.

With a mind for business, Jerry and his wife Jewell owned a bowling center for twenty-one years in Pine City, Minnesota. The prior eight years Jerry worked for Schwan’s Ice Cream and frozen foods out of Marshall, Minnesota.   Jerry graduated from Okabena High School in Minnesota. Jerry was a devoted member of the Lutheran church and spent many years as a soloist.  Singing solos for several churches in Okabena, Minnesota, Holiday Island, Arkansas and Mt. View, Arkansas.

Jerry and Jewell retired to Holiday Island in 2002, then moved to Branson in 2017.  He loved singing solos, bowling, and golfing.  The love and memories they shared throughout their life will be cherished by his family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Jewell Hussong of Branson, Missouri; sons: Mitch Hussong of Austin, Texas, Scott (Margie) Hussong of Pine City, Minnesota, and Chad (Tara Staker) Hussong of New Castle, Colorado.  Grandchildren: Joshua (Kathryn) Hussong, Austin (Claire) Hussong, Nathan Hussong, Kristopher Hussong, Jeffrey (Jordan Kirkpatrick) Hussong, Jennifer (Anthony) Wolf, Cricket Larson, Kaylee (Xavier) Loya, and Ciylee Larson.  Great-grandchildren: Amelia Hussong, Sawyer Wolf, Alivia Wolf, Luka Wolf.  Jerry is also survived by niece, Denise Perry; nephew, Daniel Haugland; and great-nieces: Abby Perry and Madison Haugland.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents: Clifford and Alice Hussong; and sister, Doris Haugland.

There will be a memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 27, 2024, at the Faith Lutheran Church, 221 Malone Drive, Branson, Missouri, with Pastor Joel Krueger officiating. Luncheon and fellowship will follow the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
