Jeanette Marie Gamble, 70, of Hollister, Mo
Jeanette Marie Gamble, 70, of Hollister, Mo. went to be with her Lord with family by her side, June 3, 2026. She was born Oct. 6, 1955, to Jackie Dean and Zetta Marie (Seiber) Wallace, at Houston, Mo. She attended and graduated from Houston High School, Houston, Mo. She went on to Beautician School in West Plains, Mo., in 1983 and graduated with her certificate in Cosmetology in 1984. Jeanette met James Wenger in 1970 at Ozark Baptist Church. Athey were married August 17, 1974, and were blessed with two children, Jennifer and Jason. This union ended in February 1996. Jeanette and James opened Jim and Jeannie’s Hairstyling in Downtown Houston, Mo. September of 1984. After their marriage dissolved, she opened her own shop for a while.
Jeanette then moved to Branson from Houston, Mo. in 1996. She, along with her parents, brothers and sisters opened and operated the Branson Heights Flea Market from April 1996 until February 29, 2012, when the Leap Year tornado destroyed the shopping center. It was a place of great family gatherings. Where the whole family would stop in and visit often. She also worked at Comfort Inn in Branson as a Front Desk Associate for several years. Jeanette then worked as an administrative assistant at the Branson Welcome Center, from which she was still working at
Jeanette met and married Joe Gamble on October 6, 2001, at Branson, Missouri. They celebrated twenty-four years together last fall.
Jeanette loved working in the Flea Market and visiting with family and friends whenever they stopped in. She never knew a stranger and made many friends while working there who would stop in when they were in town. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids and her nieces and nephews. She loved animals and had several dogs that adored her.
Jeanette had recently taken up quilting and enjoyed her time spent with her sisters, Sherry and Jackie Lynn while doing it. She loved gardening, especially flowers, riding motorcycles, reading, and spending time looking into the past through family genealogy. She was a huge Chiefs football fan and rarely missed watching a game.
When Jeanette was able, she attended the Friendly Baptist Church, Branson, Mo.
Jeanette is survived by her loving husband Joe Gamble of the home, daughter Jennifer Guthrie and son Jason Wenger both of Hollister; step-sons, Jason (Christina) Gamble, Henderson, Nevada, Jeramy (Suzie) Gamble, Monette, Mo., brother Bill Wallace, Claremore, Ok., sisters Sherry Cousins, Nixa, Mo., Jackie Lynn Amhurn, Highlandville, Mo., nine grandchildren Blake, Brady and Braylee Guthrie; Sidney, Jemma, Julia and Lucas Gamble; Hazzen and Blazzen Gamble and her step-mother Evelyn Wallace, Hollister.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jackie Dean and Zetta Marie Wallace, and one brother Bruce Allen Wallace.
Services will be Thursday, June 11, 2026, 11 AM at Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo. Pastor Monty Dunn will officiate with burial following at Little Zion Cemetery, Dora, Mo.
Visitation 10:00 AM Thursday June 11, 2026, until service time at Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth.
