James “Erick” Stephens

James “Erick” Stephens, age 64, of Hollister, Missouri.

James “Erick” Stephens, age 64, of Hollister, Missouri, passed October 14, 2021. He entered this life on September 18, 1957, in Waynesville, Missouri, the son of James and Lola (Berry) Stephens. Erick is preceded in death by his parents; wife of twenty-five years, Carol Ann Stephens; and sister, Linda Rose Nowvack.

Being a talented self-taught musician, Erick played the piano at church and Silver Dollar City, in mainly ragtime style. His love for his wife was unmatched as was evident of the care he provided for her till the end.He was as talented with a crochet hook as he was with scissors and a comb. He was humorous and sarcastic, friendly and charismatic. Erick was welcoming and loving. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. 

He is survived by daughter Kerensa (Casey) Bruce of Springfield, Missouri; son, Bryan (Katrina) Stephens of Nixa, Missouri; grandchildren: Sami Ann Bruce and Will Stephens; brother, William “Bill” (Joanie) Stephens of Reeds Spring, Missouri; sister, Peggy Reeves of Spokane, Missouri; four nephews: Les, Kevin, Josh, and Sean.
