Irving “Chum” Matthew Marsa, age 85, of Forsyth, MO
Irving “Chum” Matthew Marsa, age 85, of Forsyth, Missouri, passed away July 11, 2021. He entered this life on July 30, 1935, the son of Irving and Alta (Oke) Marsa in Flint, Michigan. Chum married the love of his life, Rita Burnett, on August 13, 1955. He is preceded in death by both his parents and sister, Irene Kase.
A member of the U.A.W. Local 651, Chum worked at the ACDelco Spark Plug plant for 31 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, who will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
He is survived by wife, Rita; son, Terry (Carmen) Marsa of Forsyth, Missouri; daughter, Marlyn Ferris of Warm Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren: Deanna, Mark, Terrie, Randy, Marlee, and Ryann; 14 great-grandchildren; his sister, Iris (Spike) Sweers of Burton, Michigan; as well as many other extended family and friends.
