Gerald Gregory Yardley, age 75, of Monett, Missouri

Gerald Gregory Yardley, age 75, of Monett, Missouri, passed away September 16, 2021, in Springfield, Missouri. He entered this life March 31, 1946, in Deer Lodge, Montana, the son of Kermit and Doris (Dennis) Yardley. He was joined in marriage April 11, 2002, to Patricia Anne Van Wie. His is preceded in death by his parents; grandfather, J G Yardley; and sister, Donna Ray Nash.

A member of the Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.CA.) 7 Valleys Missouri Chapter and Fraternal Order of Eagles #3948 of Aurora, Missouri, Gerald was always willing to assist others. He was always there to help the families and children in need. Gerald was fascinated with trying high-tech gadgets, being with his German Shephard, riding his Honda Goldwing, and taking care of his goldfish pond. His giving and care of others will be missed, and anyone who knew him will have an empty place in their lives.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Pat Yardley of nineteen years; son, Brian Yardley of Newton, Iowa; three daughters: Tamara Yardley of Newton, Iowa, Jessica Bishop of Nixa, Missouri, and Jennifer Yardley of Montezuma, Iowa; eight grandchildren; sister, Patricia Stroud of Mason, Texas; brother Joseph Yardley of Kirksville, Missouri; along with many friends and extended family.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the VFW Post #4207, 5400 US 60, Monett, Missouri 65708.  Memorial contributions can be made to Bikers Against Child Abuse, 7 Valleys Chapter.
