George Lloyd Gatten, Reeds Spring, Missouri

George Lloyd Gatten, Reeds Spring, Missouri, son of Jerry and Edith ((Hornbuckle) Gatten was born August 4, 1937, in Cotter, Arkansas and departed this life on April 4, 2022, at the age of 84.

George has been a resident of the Table Rock Lake area for 48 years, moving here from Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of First Christian Church of Kimberling City, Missouri. He served his country proudly in the United States Army.

George was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Georgiana Gatten; three brothers, Don Gatten, Elmer Gatten and Jack Gatten; three sisters, Eloise Gatten, Sue Gatten and Betty Eft; and grandson, Phillip Gatten

Survivors include: his wife of 48 years, Barbara Gatten of Reeds Spring, Missouri; three sons, Phillip Gatten and wife, Sharon of Rogersville, Missouri, Craig Gatten of Springfield, Missouri and Steve Stewart of Hollister, Missouri; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held April 23, 2022 at First Christian Church Kimberling City, Missouri with Pastors Kent Williams and David Prestridge officiating.

Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, Missouri.
