Elva “Pearl” Etchison Staley, age 97
Elva “Pearl” Etchison Staley, age 97, of Green Forest, Arkansas, passed away July 11, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born November 15, 1928, near Denver, Arkansas, the daughter of Ed and Samantha Echison.
Pearl graduated from Omaha High School in Omaha, Arkansas, in 1946. She married Dwight E. Staley in 1949, the father of her two sons, David A. Staley and Steven R. Staley.
Pearl worked for at Tyson Foods in Berryville, Arkansas, for twenty-two years before retiring in 1991.
She is survived by one son, David Staley and wife, Susan of Green Forest, Arkansas; and granddaughter, Amber Staley Johnson and husband, Aaron Johnson of Green Forest, Arkansas.
Pearl is preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Staley; and two brothers, Delson Etchison and wife, Faye, and Delmar Etchison and wife, Leola.
A private family memorial will be held at Omaha Cemetery in Omaha, Arkansas, at a later date.
