Edward “Eddie” James Cummins Sr., 54 of Springfield, MO, died Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Rockaway Beach, MO. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

Edward “Eddie” Cummins Sr. was born on Sunday, September 10, 1967 in Glendale, CA to Robert and Sharon (Turbett) Cummins. He graduated from Dodge City High School, Dodge City, Kansas in 1985. He moved to Missouri in the 2000’s and worked as a landscaper. He met Tami in 1989 and was married on June 11, 1991 in Dodge City. KS. 

He is survived by his wife, Tamara “Tami” of Springfield, MO; three sons, Samuel and James Olivarez of Dodge City, KS, and Edward James “E.J.”Cummins Jr. of Republic, MO; two daughters, Melinda Quincey and fiancé, Chris O’Neil of Appleton City, MO, Nicole Cummins and fiancé, Timothy Hood II of Branson, MO; four grandchildren, Shiane and Jaiden Olivarez of Dodge City, KS, Brody Quincey of Appleton City, MO, and Bentley Quincey of Springfield, MO; one brother, Jeff Cummins and wife, Annette of Northridge, CA; two sisters, Teresa Newton and husband, Darrell of Silver Springs, NV, and Patty O’Neal and husband, Clint of Dodge City, KS, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and close family friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Sharon Cummins; one brother, Robert “Bobby” Cummins and one grandson, Timothy “Tim-Tim” Hood III. 

Cremation is under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home Forsyth, MO.
