Dorothy Lee Bowers was born on September 15, 1940 in Cumberland, MD.  She entered into rest on June 8, 2022 at her home in Springfield at the age of 81.

Dorothy graduated from Jameswood High School in Winchester, VA.  She went on to have a family and was a loving and caring mother.  Dorothy married James R. Bowers on September 2, 2001 in Harrison, AR.  They were faithful members and servants at North Nixa Baptist Church.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Elizabeth Dryer; husband James R. Bowers; son William R. Dotson and siblings, Joseph B. Dyer, Jr. and Janeth Martin.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel E. Dotson of Hollywood, MD and Kenneth J. Dotson & wife Elizabeth of Kansas City, MO; step-children William Michael Bowers & wife Linda of Huntingdon, TN and Kathryn L. (Bowers) Martin of Sand Springs, OK; grandchildren Josh Dotson, Tara Dotson, Erich Bogie, Alex Dotson, Jack Dotson, Bobby Dotson, Brian Dotson, Blake Dotson and Jeanelle Herrea; step-grandchildren Rebecca Bowers, Rachel Zorn & husband Scott, Stephanie Hamrick & husband Jacob, Anna Bowers and friend Howard Poyner and Sarah Emily Parish; great-grandchildren Austin Dotson, Alisyn Dotson, Jersey Jones, Everly Quade, Gunner Quade, Pasilee Bogie and Parker Bogie along with step-great-grandchildren Caleb Zorn, Elisha Zorn, William Poyner, Jameson Hamrick, Max Poyner and Brooklyn Zorn.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM in North Nixa Baptist Church, 1730 N. State Hwy CC, Nixa, MO and burial following in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.  Arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
