Graveside services will be held Monday, June 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM for Don Leon Brockman, 66, Springfield, Mo. at Patterson Cemetery, Bradleyville, Mo. A gathering to honor his life, reflect on his journey, and remember his brightest moments. Pastor David Koenig will officiate.
Don spent his youth serving his country in the United States Army. While short, his time in the military had a significant impact on his life and was a quiet source of pride. After returning to civilian life, he eventually settled in the Springfield area.
In the decades that followed, Don faced severe personal storms, navigating a long-term battle with substance abuse and addiction. While these struggles brought heavy hardships, legal battles, and deep complications into his world, those who loved him best understood that his addiction did not define the entirety of his humanity. His journey serves as a profound reminder of the complexities of human frailty and the true weight of unconditional love.
Through every triumph and every struggle, Don’s ultimate anchor remained his family. He is survived by his three children: his daughter, Marsha, and his two sons John Lee and John Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents.
