Denise Marie Clay, 80 of Forsyth
Denise Marie Clay, 80 of Forsyth, Missouri passed away in Springfield, MO. on July 20, 2026. She was born in Kingman, Arizona on June 4, 1946, to Jerry Joe and Anna Marie (Troland) Holden.
Denise attended and graduated from Lincoln High School in Minnesota. She was blessed with five children who she loved very much and liked to tell tales about the kids growing up and their experiences. She married Bobby Joe Clay on March 26, 2016, they had enjoyed nine years together. Denise worked as a cook and server at various restaurants during her lifetime in different states.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Kevin Stepp and brother Darrold Holden.
Denise is survived by her children Cynthia (Chuck) Johnson, Las Vegas Nevada, Cathryn Klemenson (finance Sean Huset), Branson, MO., Rebecca Stepp, Rockaway Beach, Mo, Kelly Stepp, Branson, Mo.., siblings Brenda Wright, Thief River Falls, Mn., Diane Wappola, Middle River, Mn., Daniel Holden, Bunkerville, Nev., eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Denise’s funeral service will be held Saturday August 1, 2026, at 11:AM, Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Missouri. Pastor David Koenig will officiate with burial following at Dickens Cemetery, Taneyville, MO.
