Dale Duane Gagel, age 66, of Branson, Missouri

Dale Duane Gagel, age 66, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on September 16, 2021. He entered this life on March 16, 1955, the son of Betty Ellis in Kansas City, Missouri. He was joined in marriage on July 22, 2017, to the love of his life, Anna Jameson. He is preceded in death by grandparents; aunts; uncles; brother-in-law, Bryan Criswell; nephew; and his late wife, Ilene Gagel.

Dale proudly served our country in the United States Marines and the Army National Guard. Being a true patriot, his service to our nation was one of his greatest, proudest achievements. Dale enjoyed learning about history, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, collecting Precious Moment figurines, traveling, attending country music concerts, and watching old western movies. Dale was a wonderful father, husband, son, uncle, and friend; he will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

He is survived by his wife of four years, Anna of Branson, Missouri; his sons, Kurt of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Jordan Rodriguez of Port Huron, Michigan; James Behrmann of Iowa City, Iowa; his daughter, Samantha Godbey of Marion, Iowa; eighteen grandchildren; his mother, Betty Ellis of Bellplain, Iowa; his sisters: Brenda Gaede of Stillwell, Kansas, Cindy Criswell of Chicago, Illinois, Tricia Jones of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Phyllis Hovious of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his brother, Barry Hovious of Saginaw, Michigan; aunt, Sheryl Ellis of Belton, Iowa; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Glory Barn Branson. In memory of Dale, the family requests patriotic colors be worn at his service.
